    • Facelift

as we age, our tissues lose the snug collagen support we had in the face and neck in our younger days, and, with the constant pull of gravity, we begin to see a "sagginess" in our faces--especially noticeable is the loss of definition along the jaw line, and "hanging" soft tissues in the neck, or the development of vertical "bands" in the central neck. the "jowls" start to form because the soft tissues which used to give us that youthful "fullness" in the cheeks have begun to migrate downward, sliding below the jaw line.

    • Browlift & Eyelid Lift

as with all tissues, the upper face tends to "sag" and "wrinkle" with aging, and sometimes this occurs well in advance of "getting old"--sometimes as early as in the late thirties ! the severity and age of onset of the "droopiness" and "bagginess" of the upper facial tissues varies considerably, because it is often dependent upon our heredity. certainly, with the spectrum of problems mentioned here, not everyone needs the same solution, and the good news is that, for the upper face, there are many techniques, like chemical peels, laser skin "lightening" or "botox" injections that can help.

    • Tummy Tuck

for many women, child-bearing leaves behind excess abdominal skin and fat which are resistant to weight loss and exercising, and multiple pregnancies irreversibly change the abdominal wall structure. the abdominal muscles are stretched apart during the pregnancies (and even more so with larger or twin pregnancies), and this "gap" [or "diastasis" in medical terminology] which is created, cannot be restored by any amount of muscle "toning", leaving the rectus muscles further apart all along the midline of the abdominal wall, so that the abdomen "bulges" out.

    • Botox Injections

the injection of "botox" into facial muscles to lessen the visibility of overlying facial "lines" is a procedure that dr. scheu has been doing for over 10 years. the technique has been proven safe, and is now a widespread practice--even being done in "spas"--and most of the time, not by physicians.

    • Breast Augmentation/lift

for the patient with significant weight loss, not only is the breast smaller, but the skin "envelope" of the breast no longer "fits" the size of the breast, making it "saggy" (because once our bodies makes a certain amount of skin to fit a body area, reduction in the content of the body area is not matched by skin "shrinkage"--i.e., we get to keep what is now the extra skin that was created to cover the body area in the first place). and for an area of skin "sag", the only answer is generally to have a "lift".
